Consolidating peace: The case of Timor-Leste
Maria Raquel Freire
Abstract
This special issue discusses the political, security, developmental and sociological dynamics associated with the building and consolidation of peace, with a particular focus on Timor-Leste. It seeks to highlight the visible dynamics associated with the processes of external intervention, and to unveil the invisible dynamics, such as local relations concerning the different dimensions of actuation that often escape the logic of official strategies and formal procedures.
